Supporting Your Child With Spelling and Grammar…

The National Curriculum for English (2014) places a very significant emphasis on SPaG (spelling and grammar). For each year group there are word lists, spelling rules/patterns, grammar and technical vocabulary to learn. Homework activities and spellings may link to these areas and regular practise is really important. Teachers and children look for correct spelling within independent work as it is important that spellings are learnt and applied.
